Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, soluble in methanol, ethanol, acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate and chloroform, and difficult to dissolve in ether, benzene.

Uses:
(+)-abscisic acid stimulates the closure of stomata (water stress brings about an increase in ABA synthesis).
(+)-abscisic acid Inhibits shoot growth but will not have as much affect on roots or may even promote growth of roots.
(+)-abscisic acid Induces seeds to synthesize storage proteins.
(+)-abscisic acid inhibits the affect of gibberellins on stimulating de novo synthesis of a-amylase.
(+)-abscisic acid has some effect on induction and maintanance of dormancy.
(+)-abscisic acid induces gene transcription especially for proteinase inhibitors in response to wounding which may explain an apparent role in pathogen defense.

Application:
(+)-abscisic acid can be stored at normal temperature for two years. During the preparing process, you can firstly use very little ethanol to dissolve it, and then dilute it to required concentration for applying.
