EDM machine necessary maintenance

The working principle of the electric spark piercing machine lies in the use of fine metal copper tubes (called wire electrodes) that are continuously moved vertically up and down as electrodes. Pulse spark discharges are performed on workpieces to remove metal. In order to ensure the efficiency of use, we operate electric spark piercing. The machine needs to be maintained during the process, including:
1. After each use, the water on the work surface of the electric spark piercing machine and the residue of the workpiece in the water tray should be cleaned to avoid rusting and water leakage from the water tray.
2. Some EDM machines are pneumatic pumps and usually operate at a working pressure of 10 MPa. Attention should be paid to compressed air drainage and filtration. Compressed air is not pure, easy to pull cylinder. The tap water filter should be cleaned or replaced frequently, otherwise the impurities in the water will block the copper tubes, causing unstable processing or burning copper tubes. Electric pump maintenance is much simpler. Generally it does not leak water, and it has little noise.
3, EDM water pump is one of the core components of the machine, electric pump is usually run at 7Mpa working pressure, the crankshaft inside is under very great pressure, if the lubricant is not replaced immediately after working for a period of time, then It will have serious consequences. This one is easy to ignore for many users of punching machines. We should take it seriously. If something goes wrong with this part, it will affect the use of the entire machine tool. Before use, oil No. 32 should be added to the pump seat. The oil level should be half of the oil hole.
4, the machine's screw, XYZ axis of the screw, once daily before turning on the oil once. This is one of the core components of the machine tool, and screw wear has a great influence on machine tool performance. In particular, because the Z axis screw is inside, it is not directly visible. Oil filling and buttering are usually ignored or the filling nozzle is not aligned with the screw shaft. The screw shaft is in a dry state and eventually loses accuracy.
5, the electric spark piercing machine rotating head is also working under high pressure, his seal needs to be replaced regularly, if there is a leakage of water and then replace the case, there may be water has penetrated into the bearing, it will cause the bearing to rust or Stuck. Will affect our processing efficiency and processing stability. If it leaks for a long time, it needs to replace the rotating spindle and cause losses to the customer.
